At Theme Thursday the challenge was to create art within a square. I had alot of fun making this digital collage using some new images from Deviantscraps.com (Holliewood and SherriJD). Necklace from wikimedia , bees from Dover books and the little gold leaves around her head are a Photoshop brush.

ReplyDeleteThe gold in this piece really glows! Gorgeous, Lori! Hugs, Terri xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love gold leaf. Maybe you can add real gold leaf to the piece after you print it. It already has a nice glimmer to it but would positively glow with the real gold leaf. She is stately and fits the challenge well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the black and gold together :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Lori. I like all the gold and the tiny leaves around her face. What a great idea. It has such a medieval look.

ReplyDeleteSerene and beautiful. The gold touches are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI wrote you a detailed answer to your question you left on my blog post for yesterday, but blogger decided I should try to repeat it. First, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this lovely "gold leaf" and what magic you create using PS brushes.
ReplyDeleteNow, to answer your question about how I got the photos so large. These were directly linked from other places on the web. I right clicked on each copyright free image, then highlighted and clicked on "copy image location." In case you do not run Firefox, you may not see the exact wording, but there should be something similar. Next, go to your blog post and "add photo" page. On the left side is a spot for URLs. Paste that into the box. That's the size they loaded, and I had no control over how blogger accepted them. If you don't understand this, you may shoot me an e-mail and I will be glad to show you. I've written this comment twice and both times I've changed it so it made more sense to me (grin). Thanks for asking and your lovely comment.
This is beautiful Lori!

ReplyDeleteLori ~ This is really nice I like the way the little gold leaves around her face just seem to float in the air...it's very 3D and very cool.
