The Gallery

This is my entry for the Mixed Media Monday challenge where the open theme this week is simply "Art". I made this digital gallery from images from the "stark" kit from Deviantscraps and used my own artwork to place in the gallery (with exception of the torso scuplture). The 'painting' on the background wall is a digital collage I made a while back and the stained glass window is a window I have hanging in my home that I made about 10 years ago. The Frida sketch on the easel is also a digital collage from my blog and the dream catcher I made a long time ago. Totally fun to make and learned alot about using the perspective/skew tool in Photoshop.

  3. I would love to take a walk through the rest of your gallery, especially if all the other rooms are as awesome as this room. Perspective can be tricky, but you are doing it well.

  10. The Blog is playing tricks on me this fine Aussie morning. Believe it or not this is my FOURTH attempt at posting a comment on your blog. Comments have disappeared, I have been unable to prove my Google identity and finally I was informed that my identity and/or password did not exist!! BUT I PERSISTED. Why? Because I was anxious to tell you how magnificent your ARTpiece is. I am always blown away by your artwork, Lori, but this one is truly special - the perspectives, the perfect placement of elements and your most beautiful collage taking centrestage. Superb!!

  11. You are doing such creative things with this kit, Lori. I would love to take a walk through a gallery viewing your art! What a great treat that would be!! The personal touches of the dreamcatcher and stained glass window add another dimension that give this gallery even more special meaning! :)

And, after all of that, to digitally manipulate all of this in the right perspective is just pure magic!

  23. What a brilliant idea, Lori! And as always you're master of building your ideas. This is very impressive piece. I also like the white studio which is a perfect contrast to your colorful art painting on the wall. Very harmonic and still wholeness.

  24. I am just blown away by the awesomeness of this project! I thought at first glance that this was a room in your home. Frankly I was so jealous. It is so clean and neat and elegant. Then I read how you digitally created the room with the amazing perspective adjusting for the art. Everything about this shouts master artist, Lori.
