"As you like it" William Shakespeare
This is my entry for the 4x4friday challenge "All things Shakespeare". This is a journal page I made using images from (Dover- cut out paperdoll) dried leaves and flowers, background paper and curtain images from graphic 45. Image of Shakespeare from wikimedia all cut and assembled .
It's a lovely collage, and I love the colors you've used :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if my last comment went through so here it is again.
ReplyDeleteI really like the depth of the layers in this collage, Lori.
I feel drawn into it. Thanks for stopping by my blog too!

I studied this play at school. I didn't really get it until we went to see it performed when I loved it. It was so funny! I saw a young Alan Rickman play the character who says this quote - the melancholy Jacques. ~The way you've framed this piece with the stage curtains is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love the effect of the stage curtains bordering this beautiful piece! All the world IS a stage! Hugs, Terri xoxo
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Your use of color and image ... like poetry in a vision. I'm inspired as always. Keep inspiring us all.
ReplyDeleteOh, we 'did' this play at school and it really was such fun and you have illustrated it so well Lori, I love it.
ReplyDeleteone of my favorite quotes, and this is simply delicious!

ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a tapestry, rich, great texture!
Why is it that when I think of Shakespeare, I think of that harlequin pattern? It seems you think of it, too. These colors are so rich. A bit brighter than I'm used to in your pallet, but I sure like what you did here. Great quote to accompany a great digital image.
ReplyDeleteLori, your work is like a portal to secret places. I wish I could walk through and visit those strange and beautiful lands...
