Aloft

I was inspired by some beautiful soaring Osprey recently and made this digital collage to honor the amazing heights to which they climb and their sustainabilty in the air. She is part myth, woman and bird aloft; keeping an eye on the world below. Bird image form Dover, magazine model ,background from scrapbookgraphics building from wikimedia and a photo of a feather (Hawk) I found on one of my hikes. All elements layered and filters added in Photoshop..

  1. What a beautiful, surreal art piece collage! It makes me stop and look again, and again and wonder at it's story.

  2. Very nice. The color suggests lightness and air. I like the way the feather makes a mask... it adds mystery.

  4. I actually had to take a second look at this beautiful piece, Lori. The feather you've blended so wonderfully well gives this piece drama and adds a lovely feeling of lightness. Your women are always outstanding. Hugs, Terri xoxo
