Art and Illumination



"Wings " is the theme at the Take A Word challenge this week and I was inspired by label art in making this digital collage. I love old Botanica and the art of illuminated lettering (Celtic) in this case and combined the two here.  Imagery from Dover ,Graphics 45 and Christine Renee.

    Gorgeous! The colors caught my eye right away. I am a big fan of old Botanica also. The way you've combined everything in this piece is stunning! This is one of my favorites of yours, Lori. :)

    Wow! This has to be one of my Ravenpainting favourites. I love the design and the beautiful green-blues of the insects against the earthy background. Fantastic. Artwork to die for.

    Lori, this is fantastic. There is such a glow coming from this. I don't know how you did it, but it certainly is effective. I also love the old illuminated letters.
