These Dreams


The theme at The Three Muses this week is 'Dreams' and this is my digital dreamscape. Dreams for me are very symbolic and in this piece I represented some recurring symbols in my own dreams (flight, fear- monster, portals and the appearance of non-sensical objects. I do dream in color but it is often muted or hazy with undefined edges. Dreaming is creative and uninhibited (a little like digital art) in the sense that you manipulate images to unrealistic proportions and meaning. Very cool but challenging theme this week!

    Lori, you've captured the "dream state" beautifully with the muted tones and ethereal images. How I wish my dreams were muted. They're always in technicolor, crisp, clear and bright; however, most of the time I have garish nightmares. I'd give anything to have "undefined edges" at times! Hugs, Terri xoxo

    Perfect dreamscape. It looks like you let go and let the dreams take you.
    I stayed up late doing mine last night then had the most vivid dreams - coincidence???
    I thought this was such a great challenge - one I could do over and again - especially as I'm loving the layered look so much at the moment!

    A powerful piece, with real dream quality! The muted misty colours really add to the dreamy atmosphere. You have managed to illustrate what you describe, - wonderful!

    this is incredible.

    I found the challenge hard..and mine is very dark.

    I don't have any collage sheets & can't do things digitally so I use what I have but I feel like an amateur compared to you guys.

    I might even not put mine up.

    Lori you have captured the blended and fractured state of dreams so well, nothing is fully defined and the story is always so full of twists and turns and strange symbols. This is totally and utterly a dreamscape and one of your very best indeed. Bravo my friend.
