This is my entry for the Three Muses challenge this week- "Give Us A Hand". It is a digital collage made from a cropped hand image (Dover) and an image of one of my mosaic tiles I made in the background -which I altered by using a stained glass and then tile filter. The thing I really enjoyed about this challenge was viewing a lot of images of hands and finding one that was sensitve and expressive. Focusing in on just hands gives an interesting perspective to the overall piece of art as they(hands) are often so expressive in themselves- a sort of painting within a painting. Very cool challenge this week!

This is a VERY cool, matter of fact - AWE-some, artwork, Lori! I love that you've used your tile for the background, and the "hand" itself, is just amazingly full of grace and sensitivity. Bravo! Hugs, Terri

ReplyDeleteYou are an absolute genius of composition, as this piece so perfectly illustrates. The stained glass background is a brilliant and unexpected foil for the graphic quality of the hand image. I always look forward to seeing what you create, Lori.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great design, Lori! I like the hand you chose, and how it's designed. I also like the mosaic background. And you're right about it was enjoyable looking at different hands, while trying to come up with something for the challenge.
