Vintage Bathing Beauty

This postcard was fun to make - I wish it were warm enough to go the beach! I love the coy attitudes of Vintage Bathing Beauties the theme for SPA this week. Those were simpler times! This is a digital collage made from a Lunagirl vintage image and beach parasol decorative papers. Layers enhanced by soft light and posterized modes.

  2. Wow! This is wonderful, Lori. I love how you have updated her. She looks a wee bit sunburned!! (My sister, much older than I, was very fair skinned but in the days before sunblockers she plastered herself with coconut oil and slowly cooked. This makes me think of her).

  15. This is beautiful! The layering is perfection and the colors are gorgeous. Lovely work!

I am pretty inconsistent with art and blogging just now. I am away from home taking care of my dad and will be back and forth over our 1800 miles apart a couple of times over the next month. I go home Thursday, come back 2 weeks later, get home 2 weeks later. Then, and I can't wait until then, I will be back at work and more able to keep up with everyone's blogs I miss so much!

Hope you are having a lovely summer!
