La Mer

This is my entry for this upcoming week's challenge at Take A Word "The Sea". After a nice break to renew, and refuel my inner muse with gardening, a little travel and some remodel/refurbishing at home; I again feel at home in my digital workshop.  With some beautiful new images from itKuPiLLi and Finecrafted Designs this renaissance merwoman inspires us to connect with the sea.

  4. Yay..welcome back..I have missed you, your art and creations so much..glad you had a wonderful break! This is beautiful..I love the sense of space and spaciousness flowing far away..and the figure at the forefront as though she is popping forward..very cool! There is a gentle intensity of this creamy, beige and pale-aqua color palette that sparks me..love it..such a richness..yet so airy too! I love the shell she holds..pure magic! So enchanting to experience your work again..blissful!!

  11. Exquisite!! One of my favourite songs of all time is "La Mer" by Charles Trenet sung in the most elegant French (later covered by Bobby Darrin as "Beyond the Sea"). Your picture made me think of the song! Gorgeous artwork, as always.
