Foliate
Tiny seed
hidden underside.
The earthen floor awaits
your primordial story.
My wandering tread
stirs your memory.
Mother frond scatters
the forest floor with
echoes of the past,
songs of the present
a blueprint of the future.
Breathe your tale again
rich with foliate prose,
I am here for the telling......
This is my entry for the Inspiration Avenue challenge "Foliage".

ReplyDeletethanks so much Lori, for entering my challenge this week. your piece is so forlorn looking. Some sort of sad wood nymph. Maybe all her fairy friends won't come out to play.

Beautiful image and beautiful words. I love ferns and they always seem a litty mysterious to me, maybe because they grow in shadowy places.
