I know you try to blend in
but all eyes turn your way.
You're self conscious and proud at the same time
Oh, I wish I were you....
Your grace and beauty stun the crowd
an otherworldly essence
carries your spirit aloft,
not rooted in the earth like me...
Do you see only in color
so many shades getting in your way?
Are the rest of us black and white
or merely gray?
Masking eyes and talking hearts,
You're searching too; restless and vulnerable.
A conversation with the soul
renders all to beauty and time,
Maybe you're a bit like me.....
