Post It

This is my entry for The Three Muses challenge this week where the theme is  "Postage Stamps".  I'm so glad this challenge came about as I had a lot of fun rummaging through my stamp drawers in my art  hutch.  I love to collect stamps from cards and whatnot that I receive in the mail (can't remember who this stamp is from). I have been so caught up in digital imagery lately that I lost connection with all of the bits and pieces of ephemera that I have kept over the years for art journaling. I just scanned the stamp above to my photo files, brought it up in Photoshop and highlighted it a bit and added other imagery to create this piece.  Thank you Three Muses for the inspiration!
Other imagery used is from Ztampf, Rosey Posey and Finecrafted Designs at Deviant Scrap.

  2. It looks really cool and reminds me of the commercials they used to have years ago about always using zip codes. Maybe it was when zip codes first came out??? Cant't be because now I feel really old...ikes!

Your art is great! I love the composition!

  7. I think we all have mounds of useful (and useless) ephemera the origins of which are lost in the mists of the past!!
Lori, this is a brilliantly original mailart piece. I love it (especially the horsie!). Wonderful design. Perfection.
