First Blush

I bud forth delights like the vine,
my blossoms become fruit, fair and rich.
I am the mother of fair love, and of fear,
and of knowledge, and of holy hope.
In me is all grace of the way and of the truth,
in me is all hope of life and of virtue.

Come to me, you yearning ones, and be filled,
for my speech is sweeter than honey,
my inheritance better than honey and the honeycomb.
........Ecclesiastes 24:23-31

This is my entry for this week's Take A Word challenge where the theme is "Romance". Ah what a romantic week this has been in blogland! Lots of pink, lots of hearts, lots of poetry. Hope this can last all year!

  1. This is very beautiful and yet very romantic too, Lori. Maybe a bit sad too, but perhaps she's just missing someone. I really really love this!

  3. This is so special, I can relate to this as I am a blusher myself (painfully shy as a child and blushed always when I didn't want to. Blushing because of love, now that's a different story, wonderful Lori! Really beautiful!

  19. Lori, sorry I am late with my comment. (I got it in just in time). Your romance artpiece is exquisite. The design is magical. I love the way the face is superimposed on the wall. One of your very best (but they are all THE BEST). Fantastic.
