Steam-punked

The theme at the Three Muses this week is "Steampunk" which is always a challenge for me and a little out of my comfort zone. So I decided to do a little twist on the theme and combine punk, graffiti and vintage mechanics. Background from Lorie Davison (Scrapbookgraphics) vintage locomotive and clock (wikimedia) and fashion magazine image all layered in photoshop with multiply and soft light filters.

  2. I love the face coming out of the steam and gloom - very atmospheric. Your angel below is really beautiful too. There's a gentle serenity about her.

  4. I didn't even know what steam punk was until about a year ago! I like your interpretation-the graffiti is a great idea to include and I like the warm fiery feel where the train is coming through.

  5. Graffiti is so huge these days and your combining it with steampunk makes so much sense. Seems they should go together and you proved they do.
