Chamber Music

This is my 'Music' entry for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge this week. This is a digital 4x6 postcard made from a travel photo (wikimedia), sheet music clipping cropped and scanned and the cello image is from a paper napkin hand cut , cropped and digital artistic filters added.

  1. Such patience and creativity, Lori! To think that your cello was clipped from a napkin is totally out of the box wonderful! This piece is beautiful. I can almost hear the sounds of a Mozart concerto whispering through your gothic hallway! Hugs, Terri xoxo

  2. Hi Lori,
This piece is WONDERFUL! I adore your cello, but what really pops for me is the amazing red arched corridor. I want to visit this place & listen to the soft sounds of the cello as I wander through an ancient courtyard. Just beautiful!!! :)

  4. I love the sense of mystery in this image-with those red arches disappearing into the back ground and the thought of the music in the air from the cello. Lovely work! I also loved your dreams interpretation below. I wonder what your portals in your dreams are like? I don't have portals as such but I often have spaces in familiar places that are revealed to me in the dream-and so feel most disappointed when I wake up to find they are not real!

  5. Lori - Digital Queen! - I love this card. That rich red with a hint of pink in the background with the wonderful contrast and the music and cello - the whole card is a study in perfection.
