Needlepoint Works

These are photos of some of my needlepoint work over the years. I took close-ups of small sections to show the different stitch work used ( mainly basketweave). Mixed Media Monday's theme this week is "Stitches".

  1. Lori, I SO admire needlework of any kind. I just look at yarn, embroidery floss, thread, etc. and it magically ensnares itself in tangles and knots! Stunning work. Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Terri

  3. I experimented with needlepoint just long enough to know it isn't for me! I admire anyone who has the patience to create it. These pieces are lovely, Lori. Well done!

  9. Lori, you have the patience of a saint and these are beautiful!

I ruined my eyes stiching an Indian Chief at midnight on a mountain, on navy blue Aida (18 pi) and haven't stitched since, unless I get the machine out! It took me a year and I still haven't forgiven DH for buying it for his birthday pressie... although it IS a stunner!!
